I highly appreciate designs which manage to fit in with established Trek design principles. The Elysion Class is a fine example. Its mix of elements from the Nova, Intrepid and Sovereign really make the type a "middle-child" of the 2370's era fleet.
Designed as a multi-mission cruiser, the Elysion Class incorporates many elements from previous designs. The end result is an aesthetically pleasing and well balanced ship capable of long range exploration and combat duties.
